Knights 2nd in Annual Knights Classic JV Tournament

Knights Take Second in Annual JV Knight Classic Tournament!!
The ALAH jr. varsity volleyball team finished in second place in their own annual tourney. The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights JV volleyball team hosted their annual Knights Classic JV Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, September 9.

There were two pools with three teams in each pool. The Knights were in Pool A with Sullivan and Cerro Gordo Bement. Monticello, Heritage, and Villa Grove made up Pool B

ALAH won their pool by defeating Sullivan in two games, 25-19 and 25-22. They were able to secure a spot in the championship match with a victory over CGB, 25-23 and 25-22.

Monticello was the winner of Pool B by winning matches over Heritage, 25-13 and 25-22 and Villa Grove 25-20 and 25-19.

CGB would take fifth place in the tourney by besting Villa Grove, 25-27, 26-24 and 15-7 while Sullivan topped Heritage, 25-13 and 25-23 for third place.

The Knights played Monticello in the championship match with the Sages taking home first place in two hard fought games 25-13 and 25-18.

As you can see by all the close matches throughout the day, there was a lot of very good volleyball played by all the Jr. Varsity teams.
