Late Score Costs Knights The Game; 2023 Season Ends

Monday’s opening regional game against the Pana Panthers was a heartbreaker for the Knights as they lost the lead late in an 8-7 defeat.

The game was tied at seven with Pana batting in the top of the eighth when Eli Lindsay singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

ALAH collected nine hits and the Panthers had five in the high-scoring affair.

In the top of the seventh inning, Pana Panthers tied things up at seven scoring two runs.

Clay Seal was on the pitcher’s mound for ALAH Knights. The pitcher surrendered five runs on one hit over six and a third innings, striking out 13. Will Hilligoss and Dalton Vanausdoll entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Hunter Grant launched one home run on the day in the fourth inning.

Braden Kauffman and Kody Kornewald each managed two hits to lead the team.
