CGB Distance Runners Dylan Howell and Will Fuson Qualify for IHSA State Track Meet

Broncos junior distance runner, Dylan Howell qualified for the Class 1A IHSA State Track and Field meet in the 3200 meter run. Dylan placed fifth but his time of 10:04.18 was well under the IHSA qualifying standard of 10:12.64. He will run on
Saturday, May 27 on the big blue oval at Eastern Illinois University, the site of the state track and field championships.
Joining Dylan at State will be freshman Will Fuson. Will finished eighth in the 1600 meter run with a PR time of 4:38.44 again qualifying on time. The 1600 meter race was quite loaded with the top eight runners all advancing to state. He will run in the Class 1A prelims on Thursday, May 25.
Dylan and Will were the only scorers for CGB with Dylan’s fifth place in the 3200 meters and Will’s fifth place in the 800 meters.
