ALAH Jr. High Track Girls Open 2023 Season at Home
ALAH seventh grader Ella Oye comes down the straightaway on a lap of the 1600 meter run at the JH home track meet on March 20. Ella took second in the race with a time of 7:09.88. The jr. high Knights track teams were to run at Shelbyville on March 27 before returning home for a meet on Monday, April 3.

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Jr. High girls’ track and field teams held their first home meet of the 2023 track and field season on Monday, March 20. The girls hosted Okaw Valley, Tri-County and Villa Grove in the meet that saw a large number of athletes competing in the cold and windy conditions.
Winning events for the seventh grade team were: Norma Mendoza taking first in both the 100 and 200 meters, Briana Clayton in the high jump and the 4 X 200 meter relay of Clayton, Sophie Johnson, Layla Beck and Macelyn Boddy. Cassidy Rohacs was the sole winner on the eighth grade side taking first in the 100 meter hurdles.
The girls track team were to compete at Shelbyville on March 27 before returning home for a meet on April 3.
