David E. “Dave” Pantier

David E. “Dave” Pantier, 75, of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Monday morning, March 20, 2023 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Private graveside services will be held at the Hammond Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dave was born on October 29, 1947 in Springfield, the son of Robert D. Pantier and Ruth Elizabeth Todd Miller. He married Freda May on March 25, 1967 in Petersburg, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his sons: Robert Eugene (Kimberly) Pantier of Sullivan, Jason David (Lynnette) Pantier of Hammond and Chad David (Jodie) Pantier of Marion, grandchildren: Nick, Eric, Ryan, Morgan, Brady, Cassidee, Dalton and Chloe, great-granddaughters: Emma, Ella, Ava and Catalina, sister: Betty Haynes of Mason City, sister-in-law: Debra Pantier of Lincoln, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Jerry Pantier and sister: Roberta Turner.

Dave retired from MasterBrand Cabinets in Arthur. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #27, Tuscola, IL. He had a great sense of humor and was a very positive influence for a lot of people and he touched many lives.

    I’m so sorry for the family’s loss. Dave was a very unique, wonderful man. It was a pleasure working for him.
