Check out your bikes, make sure you have a comfortable seat and a lot of stamina, it is almost time for the 37th annual Amish Country Bicycle Tour on Saturday, September 17. This is a beautiful ride (tour) through the largest Amish community in Illinois. Choose routes approximately 20, 42 or 60 miles through small rural villages of Arthur, Atwood and Arcola, depending on the route of choice. They are all well marked.

The terrain is flat to rolling, appropriate for all riders and bicycle types. Enjoy quiet backroads where horse drawn buggies and cottage industries are numerous. Rest stops are along the routes with treats for all. Great places for a short break.

Registration site/start/finish is the Arthur Community Building, 120 E. Progress, Arthur. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 10 a.m. Sixty (60) mile riders must start no later than 8:30 a.m. Ride is held rain or shine. No refunds allowed. Parking is free in surrounding area.

Ride coordinators are Dorothy Miller and Jim Johnson. For fee info. and any other questions, contact www.decaturbicycleclub.org. No credit card payment accepted at day of registration.
