Benefit Dinner for Bobbi Parsley Draws an Outpouring of Love

Multiple Silent Auction Items Offered

“The outpouring of love and support for Bobbi (Renshaw Parsley), has been overwhelming,” states Valerie Reynolds Griffin, a friend of Bobbi. Griffin is planning a benefit spaghetti dinner for Bobbi with garlic bread, dessert and beverage on Saturday, September 10, from 4-7 p.m. at the United Church of Atwood. Suggested donation is $10 adults and $5 for child under 10 years of age.

Griffin, Bobbi’s family and friends, are working diligently on details for the benefit to make it the best ever and raise a lot of money to help the family out. Bobbi was able to come home on Thursday from a two month stay at Barnes, but has to work at getting stronger so when a heart is available, she will go through the surgery in flying colors. The ramp crew from Faith in Action made sure a ramp was in place before she arrived home.

Bobbi is only 49 years old, and in need of a new heart. She has a condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy along with congestive heart failure. She wasn’t a smoker, but still has the heart problem and is in great need of a heart transplant. Expenses add up in a short amount of time. Trips to Barnes are a bit overwhelming, but necessary.

A long list of items has already been donated for the silent auction, but if you would like to donate, please contact Valerie Griffin or Hannah Swarms, Bobbi’s daughter. If you are unable to eat, please come by and bid on the silent auction items.
