VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

“FOOD TRUCK PARTY” VBS. Four area churches, Arthur First Baptist, Arthur Mennonite, Arthur United Methodist, and Vine Street Christian all collaborated last week to offer community wide Vacation Bible School held at the Arthur Mennonite Church. Their daily attendance averaged 115 children ranging from PreK to Junior High in age and over 50 volunteers assisted each morning throughout the week. As part of VBS’s mission to help raise money for various organizations local and global, their goal was $1,000.00 which they more than doubled by raising $2,412.00 to be donated between the Wednesday Night Community Meals and CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ International). On Friday a short program was held for PreK-3rd graders as they sang songs and an overview of the week was given and keeping with their theme there were three food trucks on site as well.
