MTZ softball loses close one to Normal West

The Mt. Zion softball team lost its last game of the season last week against Normal West 15-12.

Dakota Harrison pitched for the Braves all seven innings and threw six strikeouts. Kennedy Highley led the Braves’ in batting with three hits, four runs and one RBI.

The Braves finish their regular season 19-14. This week the Braves will compete in the Mt. Zion regional semifinal and will face Eisenhower the first game and if they win will face the winner of Urbana and Lincoln for a chance of a Reginald championship.
