ALAH baseball finished season with regional loss

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond baseball team lost its final game of the season 9-0 against Pana.

Pana Varsity Panthers scored on a groundout by Brant Bowker and a groundout by Drew Hackler in the first inning.

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Varsity Knights struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Pana Varsity Panthers, giving up nine runs.

Pana Varsity Panthers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Bowker grounded out, scoring one run.

A single by Braden Kauffman in the sixth inning was a positive for Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Varsity Knights.

Brenden Schoonover was the winning pitcher for Pana Varsity Panthers. Schoonover went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three. Bo Christer and Hackler entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Quentin Day took the loss for Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Varsity Knights. Day went three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and striking out two.

Clay Seal and Kauffman each collected one hit to lead Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Varsity Knights.

Schoonover went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Pana Varsity Panthers in hits.

The ALAH baseball team ends its season 6-17.
