MTZ softball goes 4-0 last week

The Braves won all of their games last week picking up wins against Pleasant Plains, Eisenhower and Lincoln.

Against Pleasant Plains, the Braves used the fourth inning to put themselves in a position to win the game. Anna Cox led off the inning with a single. Kennedy Highley then stepped up next and hit a single to the center-field gap.

Lauren Waller got walked that loaded the bases for the Braves. Karlie Teal then stepped up to the plate and hit a two-rbi single between the first and second base hole to give the Braves a 3-0 lead.

Gwen Bender stepped to the plate and knocked in two more runs for the Braves with a two-out triple to the left-field wall that gave the Braves a 5-0 lead. Audri Johnson knocked in Bender with an RBI single that gave the Braves a 6-0 lead.

The Braves would ultimately win the game 12-0.

This week the Braves will face Tolono Unity and Charleston.
