Lady Knight Tracksters Run Tuscola Open

Annika Beachy, front, takes the baton from teammate Emma Edwards in the 4 X 2 relay at the Tuscola Open last Friday. The other runners on the relay were Skyler Vorck and Sarah Rafferty. The foursome ran a time of 2:03.77.

The ALAH lady thinclads bussed to the Tuscola Open on April 22. They faced the State Meet prohibitive favorite hosts as well as 11 other competitive teams.

Led by Senior Alexa Miller the girls placed 9th overall. Miller ran a 13.19 in the 100 meters to follow only the defending state champion, Alyssa Williams of Tuscola. Miller also 3 stepped a season best of 33’9.5” to place 3rd behind a duo from Salt Fork.

Other scoring ladies included Emma Edwards clearing the 300 Hurdles in 6th at 55.86.

Brooke Clark hits 102’9” placing 2nd in Discus. She pitches the shot 28’10.25” to score 5th.

The 4×100 crew of Emma Edwards, Annika Beachy, Kaitlyn Zander, and Skyler Vork hit the line in 54.99 to score 5th place points

Other Knights competing included Lucy Wilber in the 100/16.82, Evanger Wiley in the 400/87.23, Lindsay Rohacs 1600/7:04.95, Kaitlyn Zander in 100H/20.04, Jewlyanna Hutchcraft in 300H/65.57, Skyler Vorck LJ/14’2.5”, Kori Klay LJ/12’1”, Lillian Edwards TJ/22’10”, 4×200 Relay of Beachy, Rafferty, Emma Edwards, Vorck in 2:03.76/7th, 4×400 Relay of Zander, Edwards, Rafferty, Hutchcraft in 4:51.9/9th, and 4×800 Relay of Rohacs, Hutchcraft, Rafferty and Gracie Arnett in 12:59.97/7th.

The ladies go to Piatt County Friday, April 29 to compete in the Lady Sages Invitational.
