MTZ track and field program compiles 45 top-3 finished in Warrensburg

The Mt. Zion track and field program compiled 45 top-three finishes at the Warrensburg-Latham meet.
For the boys side in the 100 meters, Chiren Petty and Brayden Trimble recorded personal record times finishing in second and third place respectively. Petty also finished in first place in the 200 meters while Braves’ teammate Lawrence Trimble finished in third place. In the 400 meters, Sam Atkinson finished in first place and Braves’ teammate Carson Davis finished in third place.
In the 800 meters, Atkinson finished in first place and Braves’ teammate Julian Baker finished in second place. In the 1600 meters, Daniel Grauer finished in first place and Will Newton finished in third place with a new personal record time. In the 3200 meters, Isaac Carpenter and Ramon Munoz finished in second and third place.
In the 4×100 relay, the Braves’ team of Kemper Koslofski, Lawrence Trimble, Petty and Bryson Richardson finished in first place with 46.34 seconds. In the 4×200 relay, the Braves’ team of Koslofski, Makobi Adams, Kyle Hensley and Karosn Bollhorst finished in first place with a time of one minute and 41 seconds.
In the 4×400 relay, the Braves’ team of Baker, Brayden Trimble, Bryndon Wallace and Grauer finished in first place with a time of three minutes and 55 seconds. In the 4×800 relay, two Braves’ teams finished in the top-three.
In the shot put, Josh England and Ryne Buttz finished in first and second place with personal record throws. Buttz also finished in third place in the discus with a 31.36 meter throw.In the long jump Wallace finished in first place with a personal record jump of 6.23 meters. In the triple jump, Wallace finished in second place with a 11.71 meter jump.
On the girls side, Hillary Owens finished in second place in both the 100 meters and the 200 meters. In the 400 meters, Braves’ teammates Emma Mallory and Renee Balard finished in second and third place with new personal record times. Mallory and Ballard also competed in the 800 meters in first and third place. In the 1600 meters, Braves’ teammates Hailey Betzer and Camille Mavis finished in first and second place.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Lydia Trump, Lily Ford, and Alaina Barr finished in first through third place. In the 4×200 relay and the 4×400 relay, the Braves had two teams finish in the top-three. In the shot-put, Kalliana Becker finished in third place with a personal record jump of 8.41 meters. Becker also finished in first place with a personal record throw of 27.96 meters.
In the high jump, Braves’ teammates Hannah Sago, Rhiannon Marshall and Becker finished in first through third place. In the long jump, Emma Cox and Owens finished in second and third place with new personal record jumps. In the triple jump, Lydia Trump, Lily Ford, Sago and Raleigh Allen finished first through fourth place.
This week the Braves will compete in Mt. Zion, Chatham-Glenwood and Palatine
