COMMUNITY BANKING WEEK CELEBRATED.
COMMUNITY BANKING WEEK CELEBRATED. Arthur First Bank celebrated Community Banking Week earlier this month. This year’s theme was “Lending a Helping Hand.” Community banks, like First Bank all across the state invited friends and neighbors to help celebrate the independent spirit that is the standard of locally owned banks. It was a time to celebrate the important contributions community banks make, not only to their local economies, but to the nation’s economy as well. Community banks offer the same products and services as larger institutions, but they are home-grown and home-raised companies that are deeply integrated into the fabric of their hometowns.Throughout the week, First Bank associates participated in different activities while customers and community members were encouraged to shop local and like and share social media posts for several chances to win gift cards and school apparel.
