Betty C. Mauck

Betty C. Mauck, 81, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Atwood, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Church Creek Retirement Community, Arlington Heights, IL.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the United Church of Atwood with Rev. Mike Drake officiating. Burial will follow at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with the service to follow at noon on Saturday at the church.

Betty was born on August 12, 1940, in Auburn, NE, the daughter of Jack and Dorothy Russell Faris. She married Donald D. Mauck on June 12, 1960. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2004.

She is survived by her son: Jeff (Mary) Mauck of Spring Valley, daughters: Pamela (Mike) Burgener of Camargo and Tracey Wrobel of Lake in the Hills, grandchildren: Ashley (Todd) Rentfrow, Shaina (Steve) Komin, and Jessica Burgener, Molly, Joseph, Raley and Thea Mauck, Madelyn and Hannah Wrobel, great-grandchildren: Josie, Tess and Charlie Komin, brothers: Wesley (Linda) Faris of Ottawa and Gene (Linda) Yoachum of the Netherlands and sisters-in-law: Eugenia Kroll and Tip Mauck of Atwood, and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are suggested to the United Church of Atwood or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Betty was a very active member of the United Church of Atwood. She enjoyed singing in the choir and being involved with the quilting group. She loved making quilts for her grandchildren. Betty enjoyed her time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Atwood Women’s Club, 16 High, Bunco and bowling.  She enjoyed watching sporting events and was an avid Fighting Illini and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
