Knights’ hurdlers, on the left Lillian Edwards and next to her, Emma Jones compete in their heat of the 60 meter hurdles at the indoor meet at Mt. Zion last Thursday. Emma would finish second in the heat in a time of 13.01 and Lillian, fifth with a 14.24.
On Thursday March 17th the ALAH Lady Knights track squad traveled to Mt Zion to compete in the host’s annual indoor Invitational. Fifteen teams competed with no team scores reported.
Our group competed favorably making early season improvements. Once again, Senior Alexa Miller was the top scorer. She sprints to 3rd in the 60 meter dash in 8.32 behind Tuscola’s defending state champ, Alyssa Williams. Alexa dominated the Triple Jump winning with an indoor PR of 33’4 1/2”.
Other scoring athletes included Emma Edwards in the 400 @ 1:10.01 (indoor PR) in 7th, Skyler Vorck in the 60 @ 8.82 (indoor PR) in 8th and 7th in the Long Jump @ 14’7”.
Sprints relays both scored with the 4×200 quartet of Skyler Vorck, Jewlyanna Hutchcraft, Lyndsay Rohacs, and Alexa Miller placing 6th in 2:03.7 and the 4 x 400 group scoring 4th in 5:01.69. Those quarter milers included Skyler Vorck, Jewlyanna Hutchcraft, Lindsay Rohacs, and Emma Edwards.

The ladies make their outdoor debut Tuesday 3/22 at a quadrangular event hosted by Sullivan, start time 4:00pm.
