MTZ Village Board appoints new police pension board member

The Mt. Zion Village Board met on February 22 and approved the confirmation of Dan Martini the Mt. Zion Police Pension Board.

Martini expressed interest to remain on the board and is now on the board till April 2023.

The Mt. Zion Police department also released its monthly highlights report. In the report it was reported that there were six criminal arrests, 12 traffic citations, six ordinance citations and six traffic crashes.

The Mt. Zion Village Board also approved-

-A resolution of opening closed session minutes as authorized by the Illinois Open Meetings Act.

-A resolution for maintenance under the Illinois Highway Code.

The next Mt. Zion Village Board meeting will be held on March 21 at 5:15 p.m.
