Six candidates competing for 2022 Miss A.L.A.H.
Six for Junior Miss; Seven for Little Miss
The Miss A.L.A.H. Pageant will be held this Saturday evening, February 26, at Penn Station in downtown Arthur. The pageant begins at 6 p.m. with the doors opening at 5:30. Admission is $5.00 per person; five and under will be admitted free. Kyla Carson, 2019 Miss A.L.A.H will serve as emcee for the evening.
The queens that are currently serving in their capacities have held their titles for two years due to COVID shutting things down. The royalty graciously continued their role for another year and were able to participate in many area events.
Kinsley Eads will make her final appearance as 2020-2021 Little Miss A.L.A.H. She is the daughter of Treston and Brianne Eads of Arthur. Kinsley will relinquish her title to one of seven candidates. They are Payton Jones of Atwood, 6-year-old daughter of Stephanie Sandiford and John Jones; Mia Perez of Arthur, 6-year-old daughter of Nick and Meredith Perez; Teddie Risley of Atwood, 7-year-old daughter of Zachary Risley and Stevie Brinkley; Ember Ely of Atwood, 7-year-old daughter of Chad and Haley Ely; Jazlynn Stites of Arcola, 7-year-old daughter of Tre and Charlotte Stites; Alice Watkins of Arthur, 6-year-old daughter of Jordan and Kendra Watkins; and Maelee Stirrett of Atwood, 5-year-old daughter of Mikie and Megan Stirrett.
Appearing for the last time as 2020-2021 Junior Miss A.L.A.H. is Molly Appleby. She is the daughter of Andy and Misty Appleby of Atwood and is also the reigning 2021 Junior Miss Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Queen. Molly will crown her successor to one of six ladies. Junior Miss candidates include Kimberly Krutsinger, 14, daughter of Mark and Anita Krutsinger of Arthur; Emmalee Nall,14, daughter of Mike and Kristin Nall of Arthur; Shelbey Grimsley, 13, daughter of Justin and Tiffany Grimsley of Arthur; Josephine Sawyer, 13, daughter of Josh and Jennifer Peters of Arthur and Shawn and Toni Sawyer; Jorja Lebeter, 13, daughter of Brian and Megan Lebeter of Arthur; and Kyndrie Carter, 10, daughter of JJ and Erica Carter of Arthur.
Emma Lee of Arthur, 2020-2021 Miss A.L.A.H., is daughter of Nolan and Cindy Lee will pass her crown and title to one of six contestants. They are Katheryn Perez, 15, daughter of Nick and Meredith Perez of Arthur; Brook Frantz, 18, daughter of Brad and Ashley Frantz of Bement; Layna Kapp, 17, daughter of Jennifer Riley of Lovington; Kendall Burdick, 15, daughter of Ryan and Kathleen Burdick of Arthur; Regann Bowles,17, daughter of Ryan and Jami Bowles of Atwood; and Kelly Toto, 18, daughter of Maria Ramirez of Arthur and Jose Toto.
There will be a concession stand available with sandwiches, chips, candy, and drinks.
