Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer Game
On Monday, January 31, the ALAH girls basketball teams played hosts to the Tri-County Titans. Both teams came together prior to the games to unite in one cause. The game was a Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer game and proceeds went to Go4theGoal to help battle pediatric cancer locally. Shoni Anderson, the sister of a fellow local girls basketball player, Denver Anderson from Mt. Zion, has been battling Leukemia since 2021. Shoni is a role model for toughness and positivity. The coaches and players from both teams wore t-shirts that said Lacing Up 4 Shoni on the front and her name and the players’ number on the back along with gold shoelaces, the color for pediatric cancer to help raise money and bring awareness! It was a great night watching some hard fought basketball and supporting Shoni and all those that fight pediatric cancer! Pictured here are the Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights and Tri-County Titans in their t-shirts.
