CERRO GORDO FIRE & RESCUE GROUND HOG DAY BREAKFAST.
The Cerro Gordo Fire and Rescue Department held their annual Ground Hog Day Breakfast on Saturday, February 5 at the firehouse. Close to 200 people came out on a very cold but sunny morning to enjoy the all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, and biscuits and gravy breakfast cooked and served by the fire and rescue volunteers. Former Fire Chief Delbert Powell and his wife Donna are pictured receiving their hot breakfast as they went through the serving line. A 50/50 raffle was held and the winner was Nikki Stemple who took home $122.00. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used by the membership throughout the year.
