MTZ boys golf sends one to state

The Mt. Zion boys golf team failed to make the State tournament as a team, but one player qualified in senior Brent Hansen.

At the IHSA 2A Section in Effingham, Brent Hansen golfed a score of 71 to qualify for the State tournament. Teammate Weston Grohne followed with an 81. Senior Jack Driscoll golfed an 87 in his final outing for the Braves. Riley Taylor golfed an 88, Sam Driscoll golfed an 89 and Ashton Anderson a 91.

At the State Tournament, Hansen golfed a score of 74 and 82 to finish with 156.
