Coles County Barbershoppers

Bruce Condill, Arthur, introduces one of the Coles County Barbershoppers standards and an audience favorite, “Friends.” The chorus is led by Tom Woodall and son Tim Woodall from Charleston. Arthur members are Jeff Bowyer, Steve Blucker, Bruce Condill and Gery Conlin. Another member, Rich Helton, is married to former Arthurite Karel Babb Helton. The group has not been able to perform and hold their usual concerts and events for over a year so they are giving a series of concerts this summer. A good crowd braved the rain and threatening storms to enjoy some great music and harmonies for their first performance at The Great Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday, June 29. They will also be performing this summer on Tuesday, July 20 in Peterson Park in Mattoon; Tuesday, August 10 in Oakland City Park; Tuesday, August 31 at Charleston Kiwanis Park.
