PARADE MARCHES ON… “SALUTE TO FREEDOM’S HEROES”

Despite the disheartening news of the Arthur Rotary fireworks being postponed on Saturday due to the strong southerly winds and eventually cancelled on Sunday due to wet conditions and the forecast of continued rain, the Freedom Celebration parade was fortunate to take place. The entire parade route was lined with spectators as over 100 entries participated including the special Belgian horse hitches (sponsored by Tri-County Welding), American Legion Auxiliary grand marshals, queens, firetrucks, antique tractors, politicians, businesses, the Niagara Falls Fellows with Uncle Sam, and so many more. See next week’s edition for more parade photos.
