Atwood-Hammond Library Board of Trustees sworn in trustees Amanda Barbee, Cathie Adcock and Lindsey Herring. Cathie Adcock will serve a 4 year term while Lindsey Herring and Amanda Barbee will serve 8 year terms.
Monday, May 17, the Library Board of Trustees met for their first meeting following the April 5 Consolidated Election. Incumbents Cathie Adcock and Lindsey Herring were sworn in along with first time Trustee, Amanda Barbee. Cathie Adcock will serve a 4 year term while Lindsey Herring and Amanda Barbee will serve 8 year terms.
Library Officers were elected to serve the next two years as follows: Beverly Obert, President; Mike Cassella, Vice President; Lyndsey Herring, Secretary and Cathie Adcock, Treasurer.
A unanimous vote by Trustees gave consent for the Library Staff to restore full services after 14 months of reductions and reduced business hours due to Covid-19. Programs will continue to be limited, and masks are requested for those that have not been vaccinated. Social distancing is still suggested for the safety of staff and patrons.
The Board of Trustees meet the first Monday of each month at 7 PM at the library. The meetings are open to the public and we welcome all our patrons to attend.
