MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE… A DAY TO NOT FORGET.

Members of American Legion Post #479 conducted the annual Memorial Day service on Monday, May 31, in the Arthur Cemetery. Post Commander Terry Ferchow served as master of ceremonies welcoming everyone and introduced guest speaker John Stewart, First Baptist Church Pastor who reminded those in attendance Memorial Day is a day for remembering all who gave their very selves for our country. Barb Eckstein of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #479 and Nancy Ferchow representing the American Legion and the VFW placed wreaths at the Soldier’s Memorial. The Honor Guard fired a salute, and “Taps” was played by Dick Hein.
