Freshman Caroline Hill of the Cerro Gordo Bement Broncos track and field team is coming down the straightaway in the 200 meter dash at the Sectional meet on June 4. Caroline’s time of 28.68 earned her a sixth place finish in the event.

The Cerro Gordo Bement girls track and field team competed at the I.H.S.A. Sectional meet at Tuscola on Friday, June 4. The girls scored seventeen points and finished in twelfth place in the team standings.
Placing in two events each were Bella Zigler who took fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.78 meters, which was also a personal record and sixth in the 100 meters in a time of 13.71, another PR. Jazzi Hicks placed fifth in both the shot put at 9.72 meters and the discus with a throw of 29.59m. Haley Garrett finished fifth in the 400 meters in a time of 1:05.17, a PR for her in this event and got sixth in the long jump with a jump of 4.67m. Rounding out the scoring for CGB were the 4 X 800 meter relay that finished fourth in a time of 12:31.64 and Caroline Hill who placed sixth in the 200m in a time of 28.68, a PR for her.
Caroline Hill had another PR in the 100m with a time of 13.87. Addie Fritz threw the shot put, 8.44m and the discus, 21.64m. Kyleigh Miller ran a 20.25 in the 100 meter hurdles and Trinity Stroisch high jumped 1.37m. The 400 meter relay ran 54.95, the 800 meter relay, 2:02.21 and the 1600 meter relay, 4:57.75.
