Braves softball defeats Rantoul in a blow-out victory

Mt. Zion easily dispatched Rantoul 11-1 on Thursday.

Notching five runs in the fifth inning, the Braves put the pressure on, led by an error on a ball put in play by Hayley Beiler and Kennedy Highley, a walk by Marin Stenger, and a single by Kayla Schnippel.

Schnippel took the win for surrendering one run on three hits over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Emily Curtis took the loss for Rantoul.

Stenger led Mt. Zion with two hits in three at bats.
