ALAH HS Knights Hosts Quad Meet

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights track teams played hosts to Blue Ridge, Cumberland and Villa Grove on Tuesday, May 18. The boys’ team finished in second in the team standings with 71 points, behind Villa Grove, (76) and ahead of Blue Ridge, (18) and Cumberland, (16).
The girls were third with 42, behind Villa Grove, (83) and Blue Ridge, (68) and ahead of Cumberland, (7).
Event winners for the red, black and gold were: Alexa Miller in the 100, (13.1), 200, (27.9) and the triple jump, (10.31m, PR); Sarah Rafferty in the 800, (2:46.2); Max Allen, 200, (23.3, PR); Reggie Edmonds, 400, (53.4, PR); Layton Hall, 800, (2:04.0, PR); Logan Beckmier, 1600, (4:50.3, PR); Jacob Adcock, 3200, (10:52.9); Austin Abercrombie, discus, (40.2m, PR); Landon Waldrop, long jump, (6.00m, PR); and the 4 X 400 meter relay , Aaron Likens, Layton Hall, Reggie Edmonds and Jacob Duzan, (3:43.9)
As you can see many of the athletes continue to set personal records, (PRs) at each meet they compete in.

The track and field teams will be in competition on Tuesday, May 25, and then compete in the Lincoln Prairie Conference meet on May 27. That meet starts at 10:00 a.m. at Okaw Valley High School in Bethany.
