JH Knights Track Competes at Mt. Zion in 11th Annual Invitational
McKenna Blaudow and Cassidy Rohacs of the ALAH jr high girls’ track team compete in a heat of the 100 meter hurdles at the Invitational meet held at Mt. Zion last Saturday. There were two heats and based on the times of both, Rohacs would finish in second place in the event.

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond jr. high track teams traveled to Mt. Zion on Saturday, May 1 for the 11th Annual Mt. Zion Invitational. The Knights have been competing in this meet since 2018 and after missing last year’s meet were glad to be back for the well run meet and good competition.
The ALAH seventh grade girls finished in fourth in the team standings while the eighth grade girls were fifth. The seventh grade boys took third out of the eight teams entered and the eighth grade boys were fifth.
Earning medals for first place were Payton Warrior in the seventh grade boys 200 meters, the seventh grade boys’ 400 meter relay of Brayden Leech, Easton Frederick, Cruz Hale and Payton Warrior, and Skyler Vorck in the eighth grade girls’ long jump.
The JH Knights were scheduled to compete in the annual Jr. High Okaw Conference meet on Monday, 3.
