ALAH Jr. High Girls Track Teams Compete in Tuscola Quadrangular

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond jr. high girls track teams took part in a quadrangular meet at Tuscola on April 22. In addition to the host school, Unity and Paris Crestwood made up the field of competition.
Unity won the seventh grade division with ALAH taking second followed by Tuscola and Paris Crestwood. In the eighth grade, Tuscola took top honors in the team standings with Unity in second, ALAH in third and Crestwood taking fourth.
Alex Clark continued her winning ways in the seventh grade for the season taking first in both the shot put and discus. Other seventh grader winners were Ruby Burton in the 400 meters and Cassidy Rohacs in the 100 meter hurdles.
The eighth grade had one first place finisher, the 4 X 200 meter relay team of Skyler Vorck, Addi Rohr, Gracie Romine and Maleyna Vanausdoll.
The season is winding down for the jr high track teams with three meets remaining on the schedule, the Mt. Zion Invitational on May 1, the Junior High Okaw Conference meet on May 3 at Okaw Valley and the I.E.S.A. Sectional on May 15 at Maroa Forsyth. There will be no state meet for the jr. high.
