Broncos Win On The Road. The Cerro Gordo-Bement Broncos traveled to Villa Grove on Friday to take on the Villa Grove/Heritage Blue Devils in the season opener. Leading 7-6 at the end of the first quarter, the Broncos went on to outscore the Blue Devils 20-0 in the next two quarters winning by a final score of 33-14. CGB rushed for 193 yards to VGH’s 4 yards on the ground and had three interceptions on defense. CGB will be on the road again this week at they will play the Heyworth Hornets.
