ALAH Boys pickup 3 wins, defeated by Okaw Valley

The Knights were on the road to Bethany as they faced the Okaw Valley Timberwolves on Tuesday evening. Three Knights players were in double figures but lost in a close one 53-56.
Senior Jamison Rocke and sophomore Kaden Feagin led the Knights with 14 points apiece and Austin Plank finished with 10 points on the night. Other scoring came from Wyatt Romine with 7 points, Jack Martin added 6 points, and Trey Wardrip will 2 points.
Following the loss on Tuesday, the Knights picked up three consecutive wins at home.
The first victory came on Wednesday evening as ALAH defeated the Bombers of Argenta-Oreana by 42 points.
Jumping out to a 17-2 first quarter lead, the Knights never looked back adding 25 points in the second quarter and led at halftime 42-10. Scoring 22 in the third and 7 in the fourth, the final was 71-29.
Eleven Knights players scored with three in double figures. Sophomore Wyatt Hilligoss led all Knights scorers with 15 points, Quentin Day added 13 points, and Kaden Feagin had 12 points on the night. Other ALAH scoring came from Reggie Edmonds and Jamison Rocke each with 8 points; Wyatt Romine, 6 points; Austin Plank and Trey Wardrip had 4 points each; Jack Martin, 3 points; Austin Abercrombie and Renae Cuevas both finished with 2 points.
The second home contest was against the Knights of Blue Ridge in a varsity game only.
Leading by seventeen at the end of the first quarter 22-5, it was all ALAH Knights from there leading 38-8 at the break. Adding 21 points in the second half, the final was 59-24.
The ALAH Knights were led by Wyatt Hilligoss’s 12 points on 5 of 7 from the field as eleven players scored. Kaden Feagin added 9 points; Quentin Day, 8 points; Wyatt Romine, 6 points; Jamison Rocke, 5 points; Reggie Edmonds, Kade Hershberger, and Austin Plank each with 4 points; Jack Martin, 3 points; and Austin Abercrombie and Trey Wardrip with 2 points each.
The third and final home game of the week was Saturday evening as the Charleston Trojans traveled to Arthur. This game was much closer than the two previous ones and four Knights scored in double figures.
Leading 24-19 at the end of the first, the Knights held a 40-27 lead at halftime. The Trojans had a big 24-point third quarter to ALAH’s 13 points, cutting the lead to 53-51 heading into the final quarter. Controlling the fourth quarter with 22 points, ALAH went on to defeat Charleston 75-65.
Senior Wyatt Romine led the Knights with an impressive game scoring 23 points including three 3-pointers and 10 rebounds and teammate Kaden Feagin also had a double double for the Knights.
Austin Plank finished with 15 points, Jamison Rocke added 12 points, and Feagin had 10 points and hauled in 11 rebounds. Also scoring was Jack Martin, 6 points; Trey Wardrip, 5 points and Wyatt Hilligoss finished with 4 points.
The Knights are 9-3 overall and will wrap up their season this week on the road at Clinton on Tuesday, home on Wednesday hosting the Cerro Gordo-Bement Broncos, and travel to Warrensburg-Latham on Friday.
