Fredia was born November 26, 1930, in Kansas, IL; the daughter of Cearl and Dessie (Moore) Price. As the oldest, she lovingly took on the role as a second mother to her eight siblings. She married Garvin White in September of 1948; he preceded her in death in 1998. Fredia was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, rural Bethany.

Fredia’s giving and nurturing nature earned her the title of “Grandma” from more than just blood relation.  Fredia made long-lasting friendships with those whom she quickly accepted as family, starting from her roots in the Charleston area.  Memories of Sunday dinners in Milmine, where she made sure that everyone got enough to eat, will be forever cherished by her grandchildren.  Fredia and Arkey spent their final years together residing in Atwood, where Sunday dinners continued as an important tradition.  Family was the cornerstone of her life – from Christmas Eve gatherings, Easter egg hunts in the yard, card playing around the table, to just enjoying family laughter.  Fredia enjoyed collecting dolls, crocheting, gardening, playing bingo, and attending church services.  Her gentle spirit was genuine and will be remembered.

Fredia is survived by her son Wes (Vicki) White of Sullivan; daughter,  Connie Gulley of Decatur; brothers, Tom Price of Rardin and Gene Price of Stewardson; sisters Rosie Hite of Rardin, Vella (Jr) Lasco of Long Creek and Loretta (Leonard) Worman of Dietrich.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Fredia was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sisters, Ruby Brown and Kate Warner; three daughters, Linda Fentress, Paula Myers and Betty Stutzman;  one brother, Charles Emanual Price and one grandchild, Daniel Ray Fentress.
