Piatt County Spelling Bee Participants. Congratulations to the Atwood-Hammond students who participated in the Piatt County Spelling Bee at Deland-Weldon Elementary School. Participants from A-H were: Front row, left to right, Ruby Burton (7th Grade) and Cassidy Rohacs (6th Grade); Middle, Sophia Johnson (5th Grade); Back row, Ava Jacot (4th Grade) and Lindsay Rohacs (8th Grade). The overall winner was 8th Grader Taylor Simnick from Monticello. The runner up was 6th grader Emma Dunn from Deland-Weldon.
