ALAH girls continue to roll, remain perfect on the season

Playing only one game last week, the Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights girls basketball team added one more win keeping the squad unbeaten with a glistening 7-0 record.

The Knights played host to Stewardson-Strasburg on Wednesday night defeating the Comets by eleven points in one of the closer contests of the season.

ALAH held a 13-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and at the break led 33-21. Scoring for both teams in the third quarter was close as the Knights continued to lead 46-33 going into the final quarter and added another eleven points in the fourth. The final score was 57-46.

Kailee Otto led all Knight scorers with 15 points and Charley Condill had 14 rebounds in the game. ALAH shot 62 percent from the charity stripe.

Other scorers included Alexa Miller, 13 points; Claire Seal, 8 points; Charley Condill, 7 points; Mackenzi Bowles and Makenzie Brown each had 6 points; and Mallory Nichols, 2 points.

Thursday night’s game last week with Villa Grove was postponed due to the Blue Devils team being quarantined.

The girls have 3 games this week with one at home and two on the road.
