Dicks Pharmacy Receives Revolving Loan Funds
Dicks Pharmacy Receives Revolving Loan Funds. Dicks Pharmacy was presented with a check last Wednesday from Simply Arthur through their Revolving Loan fund program that was created in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It is designed to provide low-interest loans to small businesses in the Arthur area in an effort to maintain and/or create jobs in the local economy. Pictured is Christy Miller, Simply Arthur Director; Kevin Huffman, revolving loan committee chairman; Charlotte (Cindi’s dog); Cindi Reed, Dicks Pharmacy owner; Kenny Crossman, Simply Arthur President; and Angie Parsons, Simply Arthur Communications Director. Since the program started eleven years ago, they have loaned out around $270,000 to help businesses grow and develop. Reed said they are very close to opening at their new location (122 S. Walnut) just as soon as their wholesale shipment of new prescription drugs arrive. The state inspection has been completed and the inspector was very impressed with the new state-of-the-art pharmacy. Reed stated how incredibly understanding, loyal, and patient their customers have been since October 12 of last year when the ceiling collapsed at the Vine Street location. They are anxious to see everyone once they reopen.
