Russell Duane Krietemeyer

Russell Duane Krietemeyer, 82, of Mustang, Oklahoma, formerly of Moweaqua, died Friday, January 15, 2021 at Willow Wood Assisted Living in Mustang, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Pastor Bob Silvanik officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the funeral home.

Russell was born November 6, 1938 in Longview, Illinois, the son of Oscar and Alona Thomas Krietemeyer. He married Velma Crowe on January 22, 1961 and she preceded him in death in 1998.

Survivors include 2 sons, Randy Krietemeyer of Moweaqua; Rick Krietemeyer of Mustang, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Krietemeyer; and sister, Darlene VanSickle. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Russell attended Newman High School, where he left to join the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Moweaqua. He retired from Firestone in Decatur in 2001.
