Sandy Buell, 76, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her residence.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek, IL. Pastor Brenda Nevitt and Jeanine Snearly will officiate. Please observe all social distancing guidelines. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Sandy was born on September 22, 1944 in Ashmore, IL. She was a daughter of Charles and Carolyn (Green) Winkler. She married Jon W. Buell on September 8, 1963 in Charleston, IL. He passed away on November 23, 2018.
She is survived by two sons, Todd Buell (Anna Patterson) of Fort White, FL and Blake Buell (Stephanie Lynch) of Mt. Zion, one granddaughter, Chelsea Buell of Williston, FL and one great-granddaughter, Remi Buell of Williston, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Sandy was a member of GT Church in Decatur, IL. She had retired from Prairie State Bank in Mt. Zion, IL with over 25 years of service.
She enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. She was a Chicago Cubs fan, Chicago Bears fan and a big Illinois Basketball fan. Sandy loved to cook, she enjoyed playing Bunco and she had a vibrant eye for decorating.
