FLAGS LINE STREETS IN HONOR OF VETERANS DAY

On Monday, November 9, members of the Arthur American Legion Auxiliary and other community members placed flags all over town. Hundreds of flags sprung up around Eberhardt Village as well as both the grade school and high school. These four pictured – Marty Jones, Diana Gay Davis, Linda Perrine, Kaylee Yeakel – helped line Vine Street from the north end to the south end with the red, white and blue. Others on the flag crew were Billie Bernius, Arlone Doan, Barb Eckstein, Sally McCarthy, Addison Yeakel, Jason Yeakel and Marty Yeakel. Thanks to the ladies of the auxiliary for doing this each patriotic holiday. It’s a beautiful sight to see all these flags flying.
