Veterans Day Patriotic Program Goes Virtual This Year

Like so many programs and events that have been cancelled this year, the annual Veterans Day Service at the A-H Grade School will not be held in the usual way. The Atwood American Legion Auxiliary and school personnel do not want the veterans to go unrecognized even though they cannot be together in person.

Mrs. Tina Harvey, Music Instructor at the A-HGS, stated, “We want our residents to know that A-H is continuing our tradition of teaching patriotism in our school and is reaching out to our community through our Veterans Day video submission.”

More information on when and where the public will be able to view this special patriotic video will be in next week’s issue of the Southern Piatt Record Herald, along with a story and names of our veterans. The Veterans Day tribute will appear in the November 4 issue due to

Veterans Day being the day the paper is mailed and on the newsstands.
