Bement boys win junior high cross country meet at Sullivan

The Bement Middle School cross country team traveled to Sullivan on Wednesday, September 23 competing against Central A&M, Okaw Valley, Sullivan, and Trinity.

The Bulldogs boys team won 1st place with a score of 27 points while Sullivan came in 2nd with 44 points followed by Okaw Valley in 3rd place with 70 points and Trinity in 4th with 103 points. Central A&M had no score.

Will Fuson with a time of 12:43 placed 3rd followed by Brayden Strack finishing 12:59 in 4th place and John Paul Brewer in 5th finishing 13:02. Brody Somers, Cliff Strack, Tyce Alumbaugh, Joe Schum, Kole Somers, and Collin Kendall placed 7th, 8th, 13th, 16th, 21st, and 30th with times of 13:23, 13:33,14:05, 14:49, 15:37, and 16:40 respectively.

Gabby Block for the girls team placed 11th finishing at 15:34 followed by Addie Roberts in 18th place with a time of 16:34 and Cassie Block at 18:27 in 28th place.
