Shorthanded Knights win at Uni High
On Tuesday September 15th the ALAH Cross Country team traveled to Dodds Park in Champaign to run the annual University High Potluck meet. The meet name is derived of the fact that traditionally, Uni High parents provide a post meet potluck meal that is excellent and provides interaction amongst the student athletes. As has been the case since March, rules governing social gathering limitations caused by Covid 19 prevented the meal from happening.
That being said, the Knights, running without the services of 4 athletes, still won the boys portion of the event. Lyle Adcock runs a very strong 3rd to lead the ALAH harriers. Jacob Adcock is the 2nd Knight through the shute finishing 7th. Jace Green is the 3rd Knight at 9th overall. Jacob Duzan continues to improve finishing 11th with Jesus Corona completing the Knight’s scoring at 20th.
Final team scores see ALAH with 43 points followed by PBL at 49, Uni at 57 and Bismarck Henning at 64. Chrisman and Judah Christian did not field full teams.
The Lady Knights continued their solid season finishing behimd perennial power Uni High, and PBL. Cbarlie Condill again leads the ladies finishing 10th. Alisha Frederick goes 16th. Makenzie Brown, Emma Edwards, and Sarah Rafferty finish 19 – 21 and Mackenzi Bowles finished 31st.
