Hill and Howell win Central A& M cross country meet

The Bement and Cerro Gordo high school cross country teams traveled to Moweaqua Golf course on September 15 for a meet hosted by Central A&M.

For Bement Caroline Hill won the girls meet with a time of 24:20 and Haley Garrett came in second with a time of 24:32. Cerro Gordo runner Hannah Hayes placed third coming in at 26:38.

Dylan Howell of Cerro Gordo won the boys meet with a time of 16:37.

For the Broncos, Collin Warren placed 9th with a time of 18:56 and John Freese ran a 20:03 for 16th place.

Camren Brown and Jarrett Lents finished 20th and 21st. respectively, with times of 22:01 and 22:08.08.

Kyle Dobson rounded out the Broncos’ times at 30:47 for 33rd place.

Bement team members Jacob Stoerger finished 12th with a time of 19:15 and Jessee Quick ran a 20:29 for 17th place.

Finishing 19th was Kade Alumbaugh with a time of 21:57 followed by Evan Fogerson in 23rd place running a 22:12, Curtis Kalk in 24th with a time of 23:12 and Aidan Marshall ran a 27:17for 31st place.

Schools participating included Bement, Cerro Gordo, Central A&M, and Shelbyville.
