ALAH Knights Jr. High Baseball Team finishes up regular season

The Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Knights junior high baseball team played two home games to finish up their regular season.

Mattoon traveled to Lovington on September 14 taking the game from the Knights 9-4 in seven innings.

Dalton Vanausdoll was on the mound for the Knights going three innings with six strikeouts and only allowing two hits.

At the plate, Vanausdoll was two for four with a double and triple and two runs batted in.

Maddix Stirrett was one for three with a RBI and Logan Schrock was one for two with a RBI.

The Knights defeated Tri-County on September 17 with a score of 10-0 in five innings.

Colin Smith was the winning pitcher allowing one hit, striking out seven, and one walk.

The Knights were busy at the plate with eight different players getting at least one hit.

They were led by L. Schrock going three for three and Stirrett going two for four.

The Knights start their Regional competition September 21 at Lovington against LSA.
