Have you responded to the 2020 Census? If not, please be reminded that the data collected in the 2020 Census will help determine where billions of dollars of federal and state funds are distributed among states, counties, and municipalities for things like infrastructure, healthcare, food assistance, and libraries. Census data will also help determine each local Illinois community’s representation at both the state and federal levels.
This means that our communities won’t receive fair representation or a fair portion of funding within the state if our communities are undercounted.
Piatt County reports only 75.9% census surveys have been received, Douglas County trails with 69.1%.
