Cerro Gordo American Legion Auxiliary Post #117 Holds 20th Annual Flag Garden Ceremony

Cerro Gordo American Legion Post #117 and Auxiliary Color Guard along with Junior Auxiliary members and Boy Scout Pack #39 gathered at the Commons on a beautiful sunny and warm July 4 morning. Several residents and Legion members were also on hand for the ceremony. There were 234 American flags on display in downtown Cerro Gordo on July 4 at the Flag Garden dedication honoring the fallen heroes in the Armed Forces, those currently serving, and loved ones. Past Auxiliary Present Candy Dobson and Past Commander Wayne Handley read the names who fought to keep the freedoms that were incorporated into this country.
