Wow…What A Parade! On Friday, June 5 the Arthur Home and Eberhardt Village held a parade for their residents who have not seen their families or friends since the COVID-19 lock-down began back in March. Led by the Arthur Fire Department, 50+ cars, trucks, golf carts, scooters, tractors and wagons were decorated with signs, flags and balloons showing they missed them and hope to be able to come visit very soon once it’s safe. The residents were lined up on both sides with their own signs telling their families, friends and community members they loved them and can’t wait to see everyone. For some of the residents this was the first time they had been outside since the pandemic started and due to the warm summer day they were treated to popsicles. Kudos to the entire staff for organizing this event as it helped to lift the spirits for everyone involved. There will be more pictures in next week’s edition.
