AWARD WINNER

ATWOOD-HAMMOND 7TH GRADER Savannah Fagan won several awards with her Social Studies project to create a stamp design for the 100th Birthday of the 19th Amendment. This contest was sponsored by the Junior American Citizens program of the Daughter of the American Revolution. She won 1st place in the North Central Division, 1st Place at the State Level and Honorable Mention at the National Level. Savannah Fagan is the daughter of Sam Fagan and Brittany Weymuth. Mrs. Angie Hollingsworth had all the students in her 7th and 8th grade social studies classes create a postage stamp to submit to the contest. Jane Faust, a member of the Stephen A. Douglas Chapter of the DAR, shared the JAC contest with Mrs. Hollingsworth.
