DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION
Downtown Beautification. Village of Arthur employees Craig Moffett, Ben Durbin and Trevor Watkins spent Thursday morning putting up the American flags and hanging the summer baskets on Vine Street in the downtown business district just prior to the Memorial Day weekend. The flower baskets are purchased annually from Prairieland Gardens by the Arthur Area Association of Commerce and will remain until fall when they will be replaced with mum baskets from The Great Pumpkin Patch. Jim and Patti Jurgens planted petunias and trimmed the evergreens in the concrete planters that line Vine Street as an added touch for residents as well as visitors coming to Arthur.
