Just like the frontline workers are putting themselves out to help others, the ramp crew at Piatt County Faith in Action (FIA) know there are still people in need during this time of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Wednesday, March 25, five guys came to the home of Wayne & Ruth Ann Cothron to build a ramp to assist Wayne. Wayne was able to come home from the Arthur Nursing Home, but still needed a few things to assist him. After calling Leanne Griffin, director of Piatt County Faith in Action, Ruth Ann was able to obtain assistance. This is only one of the many services offered by Faith in Action.
Stan Seevers, foreman of the group, said they are very proud of the tool and lumber trailer the group was able to purchase through the Milligan Trust in Monticello.
The ramp crew consisted of Joe Lieb, Jim Holmes, Bill McCleary, Tom Rhoades and Seevers.
A big thank you to Faith in Action for their services to the residents of Piatt County.
